KINGDOM LEADERSHIP PART 3

 *KINGDOM LEADERSHIP - PART 3*

Benefits of Kingdom Leadership

Matthew 6:33(KJV): Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.

Matthew 6:33(Good news Translation): Instead, be concerned above everything else with the kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.

🔖 One of the big points we observed in the previous article is that a kingdom leader is a servant leader and we read the verse where Jesus said that if anyone wants to be the greatest in the kingdom of God, he/she must be willing to serve.

🔖 Kingdom Leadership also means Kingdom service, so in this article, we are going to be looking at the benefits of serving in the kingdom of God.

✨Just like we cannot serve in a place and not get benefits, there is no service that does not come with benefits, though it might not always be monetary but they can still be called benefits, and we can agree that benefits that comes from our services to man is not fully or completely sorrow free and satisfying and it does not always measure up to the amount of work or service delivered.

In the kingdom of God, it is not so, every benefits that comes from our service to God is sorrow free and fully satisfactory.

Some of them are;

🥂 Blessings (Exodus 23:25-26)

KJV:And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.

26

KJV:There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.

From the scripture, we can see the various Blessings mentioned; Food, water, good health, fruitfulness and long life. The good thing is we don't have to chase all these things, the Bible in Matthew 6:33 already states that "...they shall be added unto us" and proverbs 10:22 says that the blessings of the lord maketh rich and he added no sorrow with it. Which tells us that the blessings of God are sorrow free(Glory🥳)

🥂 Express answers to prayers (Isaiah 58:9; John 15:16)

KJV:Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

(John 15:16KJV):Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

🥂 Divine guidance (John 10:10)

KJV:The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

🥂 Peace of mind

When we have the blessings of God and the assurance+ the promises in his word, we become stable emotionally and have peace of mind.

🥂A life that flourishes💯.

Psalm 1:2-3

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. As long as we continue to bear fruits, He makes it possible for us to continue therein. A servant who is useful to his master will forever be His delight and love. He causes everything He does to prosper.

🥂Posterity

Psalm 22:30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation. Service in the Kingdom procures generational blessings. Abraham, through his service obtained blessings for Himself and all his seeds (Genesis 12:3), which we are. King David served faithfully and Solomon was blessed in return.

When we are sold out to God in service, He blesses us. And when we remain sold out, we remain in His payroll for blessings. The only cure for curses is blessings. And this can only be gotten on the platform of our service.

Exodus 23:25 "Thou shall serve the LORD your God and  he shall bless".

May we be empowered with Grace to serve faithfully in Jesus name. Amen

KINGDOM LEADERSHIP - PART 2

 KINGDOM LEADERSHIP - PART 2

Earlier this week, we learnt that there is a Kingdom where Christ is the King and we as little kings should exercise the privileges and rights He has handed over unto us. Today, we will further look into this inheritance.

In this Kingdom, there is only one King and He is Jesus Christ, and the Bible makes us understand that He has given man the right to leadership.  John 14:12 _"Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father"_. While He was here on earth, He was a true Kingdom leader, focused on the things of the Kingdom, and when He said greater works than these shall ye do; this work is the work of leadership - Kingdom Leadership, where we as his witnesses and ambassadors lead others unto the Father as his business was.  2Corinthians 3:6 "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament".He handed over all rights to us. The bible makes us understand all powers were given unto him and same has been given unto us as saints.

Let's look at this, the same way every King or Leader has his cabinet (these are the people that He takes into his arms literarily) and gives them same authority as He has to influence certain things in that particular jurisdiction; is the same way we as members of the cabinet of Heaven have been given this assignment to carry out for the cause of the Kingdom. We have been given such powers to influence the world and people around us - Attribute of a Leader.

From the scriptures, 2Corinthians 5:20 "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ..."; we see Man being regarded to as an ambassador sent to the Earth to influence the world.  As an ambassador of Heaven on Earth, we have been given the mandate of "every good work". This means whatever we do that is not a good work is not a reason we are here on earth. Everything Christ lived for, as His ambassadors, we are to live the same way. As it is in the natural world, every ambassador to a country is governed by the laws and regulations of his country; He also has access to whatever benefits He gets from His country whether ideas or beliefs which he can inculcate into the new world he now belongs. This is also how we are. There are ordained rules and regulations for us as Christ's ambassadors here on earth which we have to dutifully follow as long as we remain in this Kingdom.

We must however understand that every kingdom has it's own constitution i.e a guiding law or primary principle that regulate or guide the kingdom. The Constitution shows us the do and don't of the kingdom. If anyone violates the principle, there is a always a consequence for his action. This also applies in the Kingdom of God where we have the Word of God as our constitution i.e. THE BIBLE. In the Constitution (John 3:3), we saw in our last article how to enter the kingdom; the only gateway is confessing Jesus as King. When we enter the kingdom, it is mandatory for any citizen to know the Constitution so as to live righteously and abide therein. Until you know the Constitution, (The Bible) you can't know how to live accordingly or as expected.

In this Constitution, (Mark 10:42-45paraphrased) The King, Jesus, called them together and said, "you know that the rulers in this world lord it over their people, and officials flaunt their authority over those under them. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first among you must be the slave of everyone else. For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many" (NLT).  Here is one principle out of many that is to guide our every day living. A Kingdom leader is a servant leader. The attention of a servant leader shifts from what's good to him to what builds others up. Every leader in this kingdom must be a servant, and servant here does not means being slave to the world, it is simply serving your Gift to the world at large and in every position you find yourself.

Every kingdom leader must understand that he is an ambassador of Christ to the world, He has been sent by the King himself to influence his world. Until he starts influencing, this Leadership spirit is not yet alive. You can only activate your spirit by reading the Constitution(The Bible), doing what it says and engaging the Holy Spirit through prayers.

KINGDOM LEADERSHIP - PART 1

 KINGDOM LEADERSHIP - PART 1

It's another exciting new week with a new series. We trust God to lead us in the path of knowledge and life as we go forward in this journey.

We have learnt so much about Leadership in the earlier articles; but today, we will look at  another form of Leadership. This is Kingdom Leadership

Kingdom Leadership can be said to be a form of Leadership that is Kingdom oriented. Biblically, it is the form of Leadership Christ came to exhibit here on earth and same He has passed on to us as his beloved. Revelations 5:10 "and has ordained us unto our God kings and priests and we shall reign on the Earth".

A kingdom in our world today is an actual country ruled by a king who influences and impact the domain of his kingdom personally with his values, morality, lifestyle and his entire principles and laws until the people begin to reflect this lifestyle. The same way it is with us, as kings we literarily should be able to institute spiritual principles, morals, and beliefs in others around us, which brings us to our most prized definition of Leadership. Leadership is the ability to rally men and women to a common purpose and the character which inspires confidence. The common purpose here is the Kingdom, the character are Godly principles and values; and to possess confidence as kings also on this earth. Every King leaves the position in the hand of another successor. This is the way it is in the kingdom, kings breed kings.  Acts 20:32_"And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified."_

In the concept of a Kingdom, there is always a king and there are subjects. In our realm as Christians, there is just one true King; this is God and He sits in the Heavens with Christ at His right side, reigning together. But, even as it is on this earth, He has permitted us to also show this royalty trait that we possess in Him. The same nature in Christ is resident in us and should form how we deal with others around i.e. the subjects. Every man and woman you see in your daily journey of life are these subjects who must be handed over certain principles that will guard their life and keep them.

Remember, without a king or a queen there is no kingdom, and the subjects are utterly treading the path of destruction. Ecclesiastes 10:16_"Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child, and thy princes eat in the morning!"_ As a leader, it is your responsibility to serve the people. Leadership is all about influences. If you can influence anything or anybody, you are a leader.

Also, Kingdom leadership is a leadership that personifies the kingdom of God as demonstrated in the life and work of Jesus Christ. it is also a leadership lifestyle that represents and manifests kingdom principles, policies and dictates contained in the word of God. In other words, it is a process of influencing and impacting a domain with the culture of the kingdom of God. In every kingdom there are values, principles, policies, morality and lifestyle.

The kingdom we are so concerned here with is the Kingdom of God i.e. the kingdom of Heaven (one whose glory never fades and that is endless). We must understand also the concept of Colonization and Kingdom Leadership. The process of impacting, taking over territories is what is termed Colonization. For an instance, the Great Britain colonized many part of the world. After this colonization, certain things they taught these countries are still in operation there -the cultures and lifestyle. The same applies to the Kingdom of God. God created the earth so that humans can colonize it, i.e. bring His principles and values down to Earth but Adam failed this colonization process, but Jesus came to reestablish the kingdom colonization process that is why most of His messages were about the Kingdom, the same way we have been given this mandate also.JOHN 3:3 is the gateway to this Kingdom - to be born again. We must understand that the Kingdom of God is not only a place we go as saints when we die, it is also the dominion mandate of saints here on earth and Jesus being the King. God's highest priority is restoring the kingdom of heaven on Earth, when we understand kingdom first,we will understand how to live effectively on Earth.

PHILOSOPHY OF PURPOSE - PART 1

PHILOSOPHY OF PURPOSE - PART 1

Purpose is an ambitative ruminate of life that controls the perplexive values of human, enormously referenced in an inspiration required to maintain regulation of the divine goal. Irrespective of place, position and time, it reemerges the fullness of passion in a repayable trend of success permitting the lucrative implementation of human imagination in a life splendid.

According to Ityar,Sarah O. “when a value of thing is not known then abuse is inevitable”.  When a purpose is known, then abuse is evitable. A set of chairs and tables is provided in a classroom and students are invited to use them, the students could either sit on the chairs and place their writing materials on the tables, then the tables and the chairs are in the right places for their work providing their purpose which it was created for; or if other way round, they sit on the table and make the chair their mat to rest their  foot on then, the value of the table or the chair is being abused although seem to be working hard for the people but not used rightfully i.e not serving it purpose.

Purpose of life is the very meaning of our existence and without knowing this we often suffer ignorant of our own significant. The purpose at which human exist must be fulfilled (1peter 2:9) "But ye are a chosen generation a royal priesthood an holynation, a peculiar people that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous lights”.

Ask yourself these questions.  WHO AM I? , WHY DO I EXIST?, OK I EXIST AM I REALLY FULFILLING THE PURPOSE OF MY EXISTENCE?. Were you able to answer the questions. ( Acts 13:36) where David finished his purpose for which he was created.

Literally, Purpose can be fulfilled when you know the intails of life and its existence. Life doesn’t exist for existing sake; it has it's purpose at which it was created.  Then have you discovered your own purpose in existence.

God’s purposeful delivery thought: in Jeremiah 29:11, where God is fulfilling  his purposeful thought about humans. Did you know?  Life without purpose is useless and dead, even though breathing. He is still dead, dead in existence of significance. To every successful purpose, there is a reward-full price. (Jeremiah 32:19) “Great in counsel and mighty in work for their eyes are open upon all the way of son of men; to give every one according to his way and according to the fruit of his doing”.  To every purposeful man is a successful man.

A HEART OF SERVICE - PART 3

 A HEART OF SERVICE - PART 3

First, I want to congratulate everyone who has stayed with us since the beginning of the series. I believe God has indeed blessed us with His word and will once again do so today.

Hallelujah! In the course of these series, we have come to realize that certain things are necessary to be put in place before out service can be accepted. I want us to quickly understand that for every seed sown, there are certain determinants for its growth - whether it be inherent in the seed, the sower or the land where it was sowed. The same way, it is with our service; the one who serves, the form of service and the one to whom the service is rendered. Going through the series, we have touched certain of these areas, but we will look at something different.

Today, we will consider the characteristics or attributes of our service unto God.

✓ Service is as commanded and not as convenient: From the scriptures, we see in Genesis, where God called Abraham and told him all that He was supposed to do, though it was not be convenient; but He obeyed. Our service to God will never always be convenient. He said "get thee out of thy country to a land which I will show you". Even though, Abraham had no understanding of where he was going, but he still followed obediently. Until we obey to do as commanded, we can never get the blessings (Deuteronomy 28:1-13)

✓ Service is a covenant: A covenant is a form of agreement between two persons based on well defined terms and conditions and binding to both parties. God's Word says, "serve me and I will bless your bread and water". It is a covenant. Once you do your own side of the bargain, He is committed to performing His. King Solomon also entered into this covenant of service and we saw how blessed his rule was: King David also. Psalm 89:34 " my covenant will I not break, nor alter the words that have gone out of my mouth". God is committed when we are committed.

✓ Our service must be offered in righteousness: Malachi 3:3 "And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness". Who were the sons of Levi? They were servants of the most high God. Our service unto God must be done according in all righteousness. When sin is found in us, it only hinders the rewards.(Isaiah 59:1-2). We can't receive from a God who isn't pleased with us.

✓ Service must be done willingly and cheerfully: An ungrateful heart can never merry; and a heart that is not merry, is an abomination before God. The Bible says in his presence, there is all fullness of Joy. Whatever must then be done to receive from His presence must be done with Joy and gladness.

2 Corinthians 9:7 " Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

✓ Service must be done in the fear of Him to whom it is rendered: Without fear of the one to whom the service is rendered, such service can be done without understanding. Fear here is not being afraid or frightened of the person. But it is respect unto Him; respect unto God. Genesis 4 (about Cain and Abel). God had respect unto Abel's offering and not to Cain's because he had not the understanding nor the fear of Him to which he was serving. If you have the fear of the Lord in you, then you will not offer an unpleasant offering unto Him; the same way it is in the natural world. And without this, your service can never be rewarded. Proverbs 25:14 "the secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant".

What then are the BENEFITS of our SERVICE?

√ It procures wealth;  (Job as a case study). Job 29:1-25

Job 36;11 "if they obey and serve me, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures ". Psalm 112:1-3

√ Service procures rest: 2Chronicles 15:10-15.

Verse 12: "and they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD God of their fathers with all their heart and with all their soul:"Verse 15b 'and the LORD gave them rest round about".

√ It engenders posterity:  Psalm 22:30 "A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation". Abraham as a case study (Genesis)

√ It guarantee access to open doors; Mordecai (Esther 6), Elijah and the widow of Zarephath (1Kings 17:7-24).

√ Service procures and preserves our blessings: Exodus 23:25-26: 2Timothy 2:6 " the husbandman that laboureth MUST be the first partaker of the fruits thereof"

√ Service commits the integrity of God to perform: Malachi 3:10-11 "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts." Matthew 6:33

Hindrances to our Service?

• Sin Isaiah 59:2

• Doubt: Mark 9:23

• Fear (being afraid)

• Murmur/Complaint

• Hatred

• Disobedience (Deuteronomy 28:14-68)

•  Absence of Joy (Joel 1:12)

Forms of Service:

¶ Kingdom stewardship: Matthew 6:33, 1Samuel 1:28, Exodus 23:25-26

¶ Service unto humanity: Job 29:1-25,

A HEART OF SERVICE - PART 2

A HEART OF SERVICE - PART 2

1Samuel 2:3b "for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed"

Psalm 7:9b: "for the righteous God trieth the hearts and reins".

Earlier this week, we were made to understand what it means to serve God. But today, we will be looking at this further, considering what it takes to render an acceptable service. From scriptures, we see there are two kinds of service; there is one that is acceptable and another unacceptable. We see this in Genesis 4:1-10, Romans 12:1paraphrased ."that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service".  Therefore, what makes our service unto God acceptable?

One thing we must understand, which is very vital is that our Service must always come from the Heart. One very vital aspect of us rendering a quality service unto God is that it must always stem from the heart. From the anchor verses, we are made to understand we serve a God that is always about the heart; he sees our hearts; this is area of specialty - in the heart of His people. Thus, once your service is not from the heart, it can never be accepted.

God had respect unto Abel's offering and not unto Cain's; because Abel's came from a heart pure and righteous; but Cain's own offering came from a Heart full of evil. Genesis 4:5" but unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell... verse 7 "if thou doest well, shall thou not be accepted?".Our Heart must therefore be in alignment with that service we are rendering unto God. Looking at the scriptures, there was never a time Abraham had to grumble following God's commandment; He was just following with His heart. This is a service God loves. Hence, we see why He was blessed. Obededom also took in the ark of covenant, He was blessed in turn because His heart was right before God. He did not take it in because of anything He was going to get. According to the scriptures in 2Samuel 6:12, when the King requested for it, he delightedly handed it over. He just did and I believe as He was led. These are foundations on which our act of service are weighed. King David also rendered unto God a service of the heart. His heart was connected together with his service; hence the blessings that ensued. We see in 1Samuel 13:14 God referred to him as a man after HIS own heart.

Another fundamental thing is: for our service to be accepted, it must be done in LOVE. Nothing thrives where Love is absent. 1Corinthians 13:2 "and though I have the gift of prophecies, ad understand all the mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing".

From the verse above, we see though there be an understanding of all mysteries including the mystery of service, the mystery of seedtime and harvest; if there is not LOVE, then it's a waste; it's nothing. Your service only becomes acceptable when it is done in Love. 1Corinthians 2:9 " But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him". We must  love for anything we do in the kingdom to yield results.

Cain did not love; as such his offering was not acceptable. How do I know this? The Bible makes us understand in 1John 4:20b "for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he then love God whom he hath not seen?". He had hatred for his brother, hence love was far from him. And for this, His offering became an abomination unto God.

King Solomon too as a case study. 1Kings 3:3 "And Solomon loved the LORD, walking in the statutes of David his father: only he sacrificed and burnt incense in high places". In subsequent verses, we see the blessings that followed.

Another important thing to note: for our service to be accepted, it must be done with Joy. Isaiah 12:3 "therefore, with Joy shall I draw water out of the wells of salvation". For you to earn the proceeds out of service rendered, you must do it with a Joyful heart. Let your service come without grumbling, without murmurs, or  complaint unto God. We see what happened to the sons of men in Joel 1:12 "the vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men". The Absence of Joy withers; it withers our service, and can hinder one's blessings. Here, we see everything stopped working; nothing was forthcoming because Joy was done without.  We must therefore render a Joyful Service. A heart that is not merry cannot offer anything without sadness. And our God loves a cheerful giver (2Corinthians 9:7).

Thank you
