THE MALE-MAN AND PURPOSE
Genesis 2:8,15. 8 *And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.* 15 *And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.*
Proverbs 19:21:
*Many are the plans in a Man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails*
In the beginning, God created man to dominate the planet Earth with some divine potentials but the devil robbed man of his divine potential and turned him to an ordinary man.The mission of Jesus Christ was to lay his life as a ransom in other to turn every believer to their creator to gain his lost dominion.
Late Dr. Myles Munroe once said, “if you don’t know the purpose of a thing, abuse is inevitable”.
Purpose is the intended use of a thing or having the right understanding or knowledge of a thing, so we can say purpose is the wisdom of a thing. Purpose is the reason for which something is done, or the reason it is done in a particular way.
The purpose of a thing is in the mind of the maker which is in print called The Manual. Every manufacturer has a manual; every manufactured product needs a manual. As such, anytime we want to get the purpose of a particular thing or how it’s been applied, all we need do is ask the Manufacturer (Maker) or read His manual(Bible). The purpose of a male-man is in his Maker. We must understand that God never created us on earth just to make heaven. NO, he created you for a particular assignment here on earth and to have dominion on the things which are HIS. The discovery of that assignment is what I call purpose. Purpose is “knowing your assignment” while Vision is “knowing how to fulfill your assignment”.
Let me paint an illustration: it’s just like a school student being given a mathematics assignment from school. Knowing the page of the assignment in the textbook is different from solving the calculations. Here, is what I call purpose, that assignment consciousness not necessarily, that it is solved but just the knowledge of it. It stands to reason, so many of us know or have found our purpose but are we living it? Are we fulfilling it? Purpose precedes vision. “Purpose answers the question WHY?” “Vision answers the question WHAT?”
